Just for anyone who doesn’t frequent Facebook, or my personal site — Keefer Madness. We’ve been trying to add more and better photos to two different galleries. One is on Facebook, the other is on Flickr:

Another Sign Tyler’s Birth is Getting Closer
So here’s another sign that Tyler’s birth is just around the corner for us. Just before bed, we installed the car seat “docks” in both of the cars. Luckily, both of our cars had the little attachments between the seatback and the cushion, rather than having to utilize the actual seat belt.
We started out installing via the seat belt, but it definitely feels a lot more secure with the other connections, not to mention is a lot faster to connect and disconnect.
Belly @ 30 Weeks
Thanks to Roger and Joanne for an outstanding photo shoot this past Saturday! I was so pleased with my 30-week pictures. Ryan even got in the action and took a few with me!
A Big Day for Us
Today we had the pleasure and delight to see our little man in 3D and 4D! What a truly amazing sight and experience. He was extremely cooperative and not too camera shy! All measurements and readings were perfect. Doctor was pleased with his size, measurements and how I was doing. I passed the glucose test and my iron was good. All in all, a perfect appointment.
We were also able to share in the joy with Ryan’s Mom, who accompanied us to the ultrasound appointment today. This was her first opportunity to see Tyler moving and kicking and being active…
We return in 2 weeks, but unfortunately don’t get to see our little man again until September – and his arrival!
Finishing Touches in Tyler’s Nursery
Tonight we finished up Tyler’s nursery with my Mother’s help – we’re so grateful for Mom’s visit this week – we’ve had a blast. We’re so very pleased with the outcome and can’t wait to add the final touch – our little man, Tyler Andrew. Hope you all enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed decorating it all.

Bedside Reading
Ryan and I both are so so excited about Tyler’s arrival and his lifechanging presence in our lives – even now – and as all great parents we’re trying to gain as much knowledge and understanding about what’s to come. Knowledge is power, right?
Monkey-ing Around in the Nursery
Michael and Alycia were in town visiting all weekend – which was nice because they haven’t been down to the house in several years…Alycia and I decided to be a bit creative by adding a few personal touches and hand-paint canvases to hang in Tyler’s room. I designed the monkey face a week or so ago and cut a stencil out of plexi-glass to help easily transfer the design to the canvases – trying to keep the design as uniform as possible across the nine canvases. We had a blast painting them and they turned out exactly how I envisioned.
We also finally put another piece of furniture in the room – a bookshelf. The room is slowly coming together and we’re hoping to finish up in the next few weeks…I’d rather be ahead of the curve and not scrambling at the 11-hour, when I’m uncomfortable and exhausted.

Nursery Begins to Take Shape
After a very intense weekend of prepping the room, installing the wainscoting, painting, and cleaning, we’ve finally got the room moving towards completion. Last night we finished up the last bit of painting and now it’s time to fill the room with furniture and decorations – this weekend Alycia and I will be painting canvases for the walls.

Shopping Extravaganza for Baby K
Nothing beats strolling down Franklin Street in Chapel Hill on a Sunday afternoon shopping for our little soon-to-be Tar Heel. We had lunch with the Ryan’s parents and then commenced shopping for a few hours. The selection of carolina blue baby clothing was abundant and quite overwhelming – pictured left is the results of our afternoon on Franklin!
We had a lot of fun and enjoyed the time with the Keefer parents…
Our Little Baby Boy!
Our healthy baby boy at 17 weeks, 5 days old! Look at our little exhibitionist!!! In the top photo it clearly shows that our little bundle of joy is a HE – a very proud and outgoing little man. The bottom images is a profile shot of his face – his lips were sucking in and out and he was very active.
We’re beyond happy and he’s healthy and developing perfectly. The doctor was pleased with everything she saw today. Our next scheduled appointment is in 4 weeks, but in the meantime we’ll be preparing the nursery, painting canvas and shopping for a little man who will be here soon!!
